Announcement:
Graduate Student Support Program for Journal Publications (2025)
The Pusan National University Advanced Professional Development Program for Maritime, Port, and Logistics, as part of the 5th Educational Training Program for the Shipping, Port and Logistics supported by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, is pleased to announce the following program to support graduate students' academic research capabilities by funding the publication of papers in domestic and international academic journals. We encourage interested students to apply.

1. Overview
◦ Program Title: Graduate Student Support Program for Journal Publications
◦ Objective: To promote research achievements by supporting publication fees and incentives for papers published in domestic and international journals in shipping, port, maritime logistics, logistics technology, and maritime related fields.
◦ Funding Scope: Support for journal publication fees, research activity expenses, and research incentives.
2. Eligibility
◦ Master’s and doctoral students currently enrolled or research-completed at the Graduate School of International Studies, Pusan National University.
◦ Applicants must agree to acknowledge the funding in the published paper.
◦ Other eligibility requirements as determined and announced separately by the program office, if applicable.
3. Areas of Support
◦ Fields Covered: Maritime affairs, shipping, ports, logistics (specifically logistics research based on maritime and port contexts), logistics technologies, and other maritime related research areas
3.1 Support for Domestic Journal Publications
◦ Scope: Publication fees (including review fees) for papers published in KCI-registered or candidate-listed journals
◦ Research activity expenses such as the purchase of consumable research materials and database subscription fees (pre-approval required)
3.2 Support for International Journal Publications
◦ Scope: Publication fees for papers in SCI(E), SSCI, A&HCI, or SCOPUS journals
◦ Full support for the first English proofreading gee
◦ Research activity expenses such as the purchase of consumable research materials and database subscription fees (pre-approval required)
3.3 Research Incentives for Journal Publication
◦ Awarded upon review and selection by the program committee
◦ Incentive Amounts :

4. Application Procedure
4.1 Application and Approval
◦ Submit the following documents:
- Pre-application form
- Research plan
- Estimated cost breakdown for research activity expenses (if applicable)
◦ Application will be reviewed, and supported amounts will be approved accordingly.
4.2 Fund Execution and Settlement
◦ After the paper is accepted, students must spend within the approved amount.
◦ Submit the following for reimbursement:
- Receipts
- Acceptance certification
- Acknowledgment statement page
5. Application Method
◦ From the date of announcement until December 10, 2025 (rolling submissions accepted)
◦ Required Documents:
- Common:
① Application form* (Appendix 1)
* including Advisor’s confirmation signature
② Certificate of enrollment or completion
- For Research Activity Expenses: Detailed cost estimate (Appendix 2) and related supporting documents
- For Publication Fees and Incentives:
① Acceptance certificate
② Full paper (with Acknowledgment statement page)

6. Important Notes
◦ All supported papers must include the following acknowledgment:
"This research was supported by the 5th Educational Training Program for Shipping, Port and Logistics from the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries." |
◦ Double support for the same paper from other funding sources is prohibited.
◦ False or fraudulent applications will result in cancellation of selection and recovery of funds.
◦ Research activity expenses must be pre-approved; expenses outside the approved scope will not be supported.
◦ If budget funds are exhausted, the program may close early.
◦ Only papers scheduled to be published by December 31, 2025, are eligible.
◦ For international journals, detailed indexing proof must be submitted (SCI(E)/SSCI/A&HCI/SCOPUS).
◦ Support may be canceled if documents are incomplete or falsified.
