[2025-2] Qualifying Exams: Foreign Language Test Exemption Application
1. Application Period : Until 2025. Sep. 16.(Tue), 17:00 (Deadline strictly observed)
2. Foreign Language Test Subject
1) English Test
2) Korean Test (Only Korean Studies(한국학전공) students can select Korean language test)
3. Eligibility: Application is allowed regardless of acquired credits.
4. How to Apply: Submit the application form (attached) and supporting documents
※ Submit either in person or by post. Submission by email is not accepted.

1) Official Foreign Language Proficiency Test Score Report
* Exemption applications are only accepted for scores obtained after admission to the relevant program, and the scores must still be valid at the time of the application.
2) Alternative English/Korean courses: Attach a screenshot of the 'PASS' status for the alternative course from the PNU Language Education Institute website.
3) Copy of Passport
4) Copy of Degree Certificate

6. How to Check the Exemption Application Result (2025. Oct. 2.(Thu) 14:00 Scheduled)
- Visit [onestop.pusan.ac.kr] → Click [졸업(Graduation)] → Click 학위논문제출자격시험(Qualifying examination)→ Click [외국어시험합격조회(Inquire about Foreign Language Proficiency Test] and [종합시험합격조회(Inquire about Qualifying Examination)]
7. Notes
1) The in-house English test is not administered, so an exemption application is required.
2) English/Korean language test scores must be obtained after admission to the relevant program and must be valid at the time of the exemption application.
3) Submission is only allowed in person or by post. Submission by email is not accepted.
4) If submitted by post, you must call the GSIS office to confirm receipt.
5) If submitted by a proxy, you are responsible for any missing or incomplete information.
6) The original copy of the application form must be submitted.
